Id rather be snowed on than snowed in!!!!

Ive felt all dressed up with nowhere to go before...a story i dont intend to tell...but this past saturday nightbrought whole new meaning to that phrase.....jason had friends in town for the weekend (they actually came up to buy ferrets....a subject ill touch on later in this post!!) we had all decided to go out just for a couple of drinks (yeah....ive said that before!!!) since the boys were going to ride in the morning....after getting all gussied up (which...is no small task...we're talking at least an hour!!) and deciding who would drive to the bar (its only about a mile and a half!!) we ventured outside....which is when the weather reared its ugly head!!! you see....it had been snowing all day...and, although i was perfectly aware of the snow...we actually attempted to put chains on as we were driving around town....i somehow just assumed that when it was time for us to leave...we could just...ya know, leave....not so much...after measuring 17 inches on the TOP of my car....and spending about a half hour attempting to remove said 17(at the same time dialing the cab co..which, by the way, didnt even answer the stinkin phone...i mean, i understand ur freakin busy...but, ur not even gonna answer...thats just ridiculous...i now realize i have to venture out and find my own personal cab driver....just call me miss daisy!!)we all came to the realization that we were stuck....unbelievable...we were actually "snowed in"!!! i mean, ive heard of this absurdity before...but, i didnt think it actually happened...i mean, just the simple fact that its the year 06....all the different modes of transportation, and technology....and people actually get "snowed in"....its preposterous...i mean, if i want to go to a bar, the fact that its snowing should not be the reason for my inability to get to said bar!!!! this is definitely a pain in the ass...not to mention, the damaging effect it will have on my social interactions.....ok, im still just pissed cuz i didnt get to go to the bar...but still, it is pretty lame....so, yeah, we drove to reno(it was snowing...it took us, altogether, there and back, almost 5 hours in the car!!!not cool!!!) so jasons friends could buy their pungent, puny ferrets...eeeeewwww!!!! i really just dont get it!!! and im not even gonna try to get it either!!!! i mean, there are sooooo many other things you could have as a pet....a ferret??!!!?? come on!!!! anyhoo.....that completes my rant for now!! peaaace!!

its funny...ive been coming up here for years and years....it never seemed as breathtaking as it was at this moment...i was driving and had to pull over and snap some photos... the next morning i realized...its awesome...every day!!!

home sweet home

Well....here i am....as i sit here typing i have, pretty much a kick ass view of the california side of heavenly mountain...on a clear night i can see the lights of the night runs illuminating the white on the mountain.....natural beauty is a very mesmerizing thing....its almost...intoxicating, oh, actually thats probably the cocktail im consuming...so far its been a smooth transition...this city is different from new orleans in the respect that it has that cozy small town feel, and the same in the whole, party your ass of all night long way...im trying to focus on the former rather than the latter...easier said than done!!! so far i havent met many people, jason and i both had friends in town the first weekend...this past weekend a whole slew of fresnans were here...so, i havent really sought out new friends...i did meet a couple cool guys....one sort of took a liking to me and im currently milling over exactly how to say i just want to be friends, and actually JUST be friends....also, easier said than done...i mean, in my experience, ive found when one uses that phrase they almost never actually mean it...so, im pretty sure the wording will have to be different so as not to give that whole "blow off" feel....wow, only been here a week and a half, and im already having to let em down easy......im not sure if thats a good thing....but, it has been awhile since ive been the blower, and not the blowee....(i just chuckled out loud while typing that!!!thats good shit right there....compliments of captain morgan and diet coke!!!)well, my faithful following(me laughing...at myself...again!!!)i hope that 06 has proven to be as promising for yall as it has for me...good night, and good luck(oh, i saw this movie and it rocked!!!gotta check it out!!!)

new start....new year....

Well...its 06 people....one of my new years resolutions is to keep posting...its been kinda hard to keep up what with this crazy life i lead(however, i am somehow still able to feed my daily myspace addiction!!). Well, christmas was awesome!!! My birthday rocked!!! And just before new years i started the move into my new place in lake tahoe!!!! Im sad to say im bidding adieu to the blissful life of retirement!!! Time to get back to reality!!! Tahoe is freakin beautiful!!! The people are very chill(mellow...if ya catch my drift!!!) We get our internet on monday...thats when the chronicled trials and tribulations of my time in tahoe will begin!!! Hope to see ya there!!!
